Joe for Mayor: Positions
- Senior Tax Freeze - My opponent voted against this twice
- Against Forcing Homeowners on septic to hookup to City sewer - My opponent is for this
- Headed up Purchase of Forney Lake Water in Rockwall County
- Fought to bring Tom Thumb to Heath - in opposition to several on the City Council
- Fighting to keep Landowners Values up by not devaluing flood plain
- Pushing for development of City multi-field ball parks on unused land by High School
- Being Honest and Transparent about the Cities Award winning Budget Process
 | | I believe that a City should live within it's income / resources.
|
 | | I do not think that freezing taxes on seniors will impact the taxes on anyone else in the City.
|
 | | I do not think that forcing folks to abandon working septic systems and pay the cost of hooking |
| | up to a City sewer system is a viable idea.
|
 | | I do not think that devaluing 15% of the undeveloped land in Heath by ordinance is a good idea |

Back ground
I have lived in Texas for almost 70 years. I was married here in Rockwall
in 1976, Parents were married here in 1942. I have served in the Military -
USMC 1968 - 74 Vietnam Veteran - I have taught at Rockwall High School
1998 - 2002 - I have served the City of Heath since 2009 on the Lake Ray
Hubbard Take Line Committee, The Planning and Zoning Commission
and the City Council. My family donated the land for Amy Parks - the City of
Heath public works is located on a famliy homestead. My family and I
have helped the City of Heath become what it is today. I am asking for
your vote and support.
Voting is the biggest right of all !
I want to be Mayor for all of the Citizens of Heath, not just a part of them. I have no hidden agenda. I want to have an open door policy
that everyone feels free to enter. Please, if you disagree with me on a point - tell me - perhaps we can come to a mutual resolution. I
want Heath to remain the special place that it is. I have a firm understanding of what developing a city entails - I want to keep our Heath
the wonderful place to raise a family - the same reason that you moved here.
2018 Election
Friends,
After serving for the past 2
elections as Place 3 City
Councilman I have formally
filed for Mayor of Heath in the
upcoming May election. This
decision did not come easily,
the time and effort that it takes
to serve is time away from my
family. This will be my last
office to aspire to. I am not a
politician, nor do I have a
family political background. As
a problem solver, I feel that I
am qualified for this office. As
a Patriot and a Veteran I feel
that I am obligated to do what
is best for my city. I pray for
your support.
